Blink and you’ll miss it.
The Ivy Tavern has been open for just over a year now and it is on my list of hidden gems in town. Sure, it used to be the sketch ball bar & grill named “Kitty’s” but it is nowhere near what the space formerly represented. With a killer back patio area with giant Jenga, pool tables, TVs and a stage, The Ivy Tavern is a just a good ol’ bar. On Tuesdays they host trivia, Friday there is a DJ and Saturday nights there is live music, not to mention drink specials for every day of the week.
The thing that truly sets The Ivy Tavern apart than some of my other favorite bars is the food. Chef Andrew Kelley has truly elevated the food here, making it a dining destination as well. You will definitely find some of your bar faves like wings, chicken fingers and pizza but how about a killer Greek salad? Turkey Melt? Yup. Think of The Ivy Tavern as having sexy, grown up bar food.
Yeah. You read that correctly. How LEGIT does this menu sound? Well, luckily I taste tested practically everything for you guys. I took one for the team, I know. Let me just say that everything really does taste as good as it sounds.
Brisket Stuffed “O” Rings
Don’t wait until you are hammered off their awesome drink specials, The Ivy Tavern is open for lunch and dinner but does serve some items into the wee hours of the night!
