It finally feels like Fall y’all and with the cold temps the cravings of comfort food have officially arrived for me, how about you?
Lazy Dog Restaurant, a personal favorite of ours, is bringing their A-game to the comfort food battles with their new Fall menu. A few weeks back we were lucky enough to be invited in to check it out so it only seems fair that we share the goodness but first and foremost, we need to talk about some favorites that are on the regular menu.
Loaded Potato Hush Puppies
BBQ Bacon-Wrapped Bison Meatloaf
Drool-worthy, right? On a scale of 1 to incredibly delicious, these favorites of ours would make any meal complete on their own but in the effort of doing our research so that we can report the facts back to YOU, we just had to keep on trucking and check out the Fall menu.
Chicken Curry Bowl with Red-Hot Carrot Slaw
Slow-Braised Lamb Shank
It is pretty safe to say that at this point in our visit, we were about to bust at the seams.
The full Fall menu item selections include:
- Bone-In Pork Schnitzel
- Lamb Ragu with Noodles
- Housemade Lentil Soup
- Bananas Foster French Toast (served during brunch)
I made the most rookie mistake of all and didn’t wear my stretchy pants, therefore, I was in a rough spot and had to save my dessert stomach for the epic Fall selections of sweet treats. What are those sweet treats you ask? Think S’Mores, Pumpkin Cheesecake, and Seasonal Warm Apple Crumble. Yes, I tried all three. Yes, all three were incredibly delicious. Yes, I ate them so quickly that I blacked out and forgot to take pictures. Thank goodness that Lazy Dog Restaurant has my back and has their own photos of these beauties here. WHEW, that was a close one.
As I sit here on this rainy November afternoon, writing this article for you all I can only think of one thing that comes to mind about Lazy Dog’s Fall menu: I NEED IT AGAIN. Savor the Fall flavors and cozy up to one (or like, a lot) of their dishes that are sure to satisfy your every craving, just like they did ours!
